A New Beginning: Every year we provide a couple of patients with free reconstructive dental work. We choose individuals who have overcome difficult obstacles and are working to change their lives or of those around them. Last year we helped Robert who has suffered a lifetime of neglect to his teeth. He came to our office with pain which caused him daily headaches and sleepless nights. He suffered from multiple gastrointestinal symptoms which did not allow him to eat well or comfortably. He received a deep cleaning, extractions, fillings and some crown and bridge work to restore his teeth to health. His work was completed in 8 visits over a 3-week period and was valued at $16,713. His health has significantly improved due to improved nutrition and reduction of physical stress. An obvious improvement in his well being is apparent in these photos. Toothprints (Ongoing): Toothprints were developed by a pediatric dentist who began using dental bite impressions as a way of safeguarding his own child, and other young patients. The thermoplastic wafer records the size and shape of a child’s teeth, tooth position within the arch and the relationship between the upper and lower jaws. Like fingerprints, dental imprints are unique to every person so bite impressions serve as an accurate method of identification. Not even twins have the same bite characteristics. A Toothprint captures saliva, which is a powerful source of human scent, thus making the wafer effective for scent-dog tracking. The saliva also provides a DNA sample.

Our office is proud to be a local provider of the Toothprints technology. We offer Toothprints to all of our patients under the age of 18, free of charge with their initial visit and intermittently thereafter, as their dentition changes. In addition a personal ID Kit is included for completion at home.  We have also provided free Toothprints at events for the City of Scottsdale and the City of Mesa. To-date we have safeguarded over 300 young children and are proud to continue this effort.

Prayer and Reflection Arbor (October 2007): Our office recently made a financial contribution towards the  development of a Reflection Arbor for St. Anne’s Catholic  Community. It has been build off of Greenfield Road and the  I-60 freeway as a community project  by a local Eagle Scout.  We are excited to have been a  part of this very special project.

Healthcare Fights Hunger (June 2007):  During the month of June, we collected a carload of food  which benefited local food banks. We would like to than all  of you who contributed to this cause. Thank you for your  support!
